The Trafalgar Centre is Nelson Tasman’s largest multi-purpose spectator sports and events arena. Built in the early 1970s, the Centre has a history of hosting major cultural and entertainment events and exhibitions.

We held our 2023 awards evening at the Northern Extension of the Trafalgar Centre. Leah and the team at Nelson Community Venues were great to deal with. They were highly organised and their attention to detail, in particular health and safety, was excellent. We had great feedback from those that attended the evening and all were impressed with the interior and exterior of the venue. We would highly recommend Leah and the team to anyone considering using this venue.

L.A.B concert. The centre handled it well. There were 5,000 peeps and they had good food, drink and toilets set up. It got way too hot inside but that’s not the centre’s fault. Acoustics were good but not great. A bit of reverberations and feedback. Concert should have been at park outside not inside.

Conference centre. Located in nice park with views and walkways. Bit cold in July but easy parking. Google maps useful as entrance is past the supermarket as the land is surrounded by water. Several walking bridges make it nice to walk to. Driving entrance from city side.
