Founders Heritage Park

Founders Heritage Park is a museum in Nelson, New Zealand, housing a number of groups with historical themes, including transport. A short heritage railway line is operated by the Nelson Railway Society. Several shops operate in the museum including a bakery and other artisan foods, as well as locally-made arts & crafts, a bar serving local Beers and live music and the grounds host several Festivals including Marchfest, The Jazzfest and Evolve Festival.
So bring the family to spend a lovely afternoon walking through a village of character buildings which are set in beautiful well established gardens and explore displays of Nelson’s heritage, learn the stories of our history and meet our working artisans.

This is a great cheap day out. About $11 per adult. I particularly enjoyed the beer & hop museum, some fascinating history in this area! Well worth a visit if you have time to spare. The on-site cafe is fantastic too.

Really cool spot, I went foe the Illuminate show. Was an awesome set up and I'm intrigued to go back and check it out when it's running normally

very impressed with what has been done. Impressive displays of vehicles in particular. Sadly railway only operates on weekend. Would be great to see more businesses working from here.
