We are small family run business, we strive to ensure you all have a personalised and memorable time on our tours.
We have fantastic experienced skipper/guides to show you the best bits of the Abel Tasman National Park, we are all great advocates for the conservation of this beautiful park and love to showcase this to our customers.
Clive and I own and manage the day to day running of Abel Tasman Eco Tours, and as well as this we also run Tern Coffee House on Church Street in central Nelson.
We both love being out on the water and experiencing the beauty of the nature that surrounds this region.
We all feel very fortunate to be working in some of the most stunning places in New Zealand and we can’t wait to take you out and share this beauty with you all.

Utterly amazing — the best way to see the extent of the Abel Tasman reserve by boat along the coast, stopping in an estuary (high tide permitted that) and on remote beaches for morning coffee and then lunch. Darren, our host for the day, was great: full of fascinating facts, super organised and attentive to ensure we got be best out of our day. Swimming, bird song, seals, sun, sand and sea. Perfect day.

A safe, professional and well organized experience with Eco tours on a busy Waitangi weekend. Our guide Darren did a great job and shared plenty of interesting information about the area. The company also seemed very flexible with the tour, allowing for greater/lesser time at points of interest and discussing varying subjects, depending on the group's interests.

We had an amazing day on the Eco Tours boat. Our guide Darren was very knowledgeable and fantastic with our two kids. The food and drink selection was great and Darren even had a jam donut as a birthday treat for our daughter celebrating her 7th birthday. It was the perfect way to see the highlights of the park without having to hike with a 4 year old who insists on being carried. Totally recommend this trip for families. This was one of the best tours we’ve ever been on. We only had 1 day in the park so we decided to book this tour to see as much as possible. You get morning tea and lunch included which was great. Our guide Darren was very knowledgeable and took us to parts of the park that you wouldn’t normally visit. I definitely would recommend!
